New Year’s Eve is Upon Us…

…and many of you are celebrating at your favorite pub or bar.  Others have gathered in warm and cozy homes of friends to celebrate the dawning of the New Year together.  Still others are sitting quietly alone reflecting on all the happenings of this year which many of us are glad to see finally coming to an end.

I am excited about the prospects for our New Year.  Among the many things 2010 will bring us is the joint effort as we join our forces to make a difference in our national, state and local leadership, or lack thereof.  We have many new friends to make this year, and sadly many of us have said goodbye to dear friends in 2009 so we have tons of space to build on their memory all the joy, the tears, the laughs and sighs we shared together.

These are all special memories for us which deserve to be cherished and nourished in our hearts.  While we may not believe it at the moment, we will have these same lanes to stroll down again.  We can choose to remember with a smile or continue shedding tears of sadness and disappointment.  The choice is up to each one of us.

My New Years wish for all of you is a simple one, really.  That joy will build a home in your hearts, love will dwell in your being, and happiness will line your pathways.  I wish God’s purest and richest blessings for all of you.  I wish for all your broken fences to be mended, and for increasing pleasure in both new and long-time friends.

Thank you for making this blog one of your semi-regular reads.  It warms my heart to know that I have given you food for thought, uplifted you and provided a chuckle along the way as your emails and comments have told me.  With God’s help, I hope to do the same in the coming year.
