Whatza Matter, Ben? Too Much Heat?

Every once in awhile, even a Democrat can get a little scared.  Senator Ben Nelson has caught nothing but heat from all sides in his “Cornhusker Kickback” sweetheart deal he was so proud to secure for Nebraska.  At least, he was until the stuff started hitting the fan – and much of it was coming from Nebraska.

Then they started falling like dominoes… Dems “deciding” to retire and not seek reelection in 2010.  Yeah, right!  They want to spend more time with their families.  Sure they do.  Truth be told, they know they will lose this election and they are just plain scared to death of losing.  Many of them are doing the same things they’ve done in the Senate or the House since they were first elected.. refusing to stand up and face the music.

Poor old Ben Nelson – I truly expect his “retirement” announcement any day now.  In the meantime, did you see this letter he supposedly wrote to Harry Reid?  Check it out.  Especially if you haven’t had a good laugh yet today.

“Nelson Asks Reid to Drop Medicaid Break for Nebraska”

Haa Haa… good one, Ben!

  1. Great article, yeah they need to go back home to their families, we are going to remove most in 2010 and the rest in 2012!

    • I think maybe the Democrats in this Senate and House of Representatives may be what the Republican Party ad for Hoover in 1928 was referring to with a “chicken in every pot.”

      Thank you for your comment!

  2. Great article!

Take an hour to stand up for what you believe, We the People STILL matter! Join the group, invite your friends and stand up on 01/18/10!

    Enough is enough!

    • Ynevar,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I did remove the links you left because if you will notice, the only links anywhere on this blog (other than the articles which are posted) are for our military and for current politicians.

I did read one of your postings, and I think both WordPress and Alaska are lucky to have you on their teams!

  3. It is truly fatiguing to see the “I got mine, go get yours” mentality in Washington.
There is such an entitlement mentality in this country. Perhaps Haiti is a good example of societal collapse which occurs in disasters for those who simply will not prepare.
Happened in New Oeleans but not along the Gulf Coast after Katrina.
You don’t see that to see the absolute helplessness in Tornado Ally nor in flood plains along the Mississippi.
Coal mine tragedy? Look to local responders who’ve planned for the worst.
“Obama money?” U.N. money? What happend to $100s billions in aid to Haiti?
Corruption by the Haves v. Have Nots.
Nelson misjudged Nebraskan pride. It’ll cost him. It’ll cost the Dems in 2010 hugely.

    • You are 100% correct, Dr. David.

      Thank you for your comment.
